Dating sites and Social Media like Facebook are the favorite places for scammers to try to make money.

There are a few simple things to be aware of:

1. DON’T EVER SEND MONEY TO ANY ONE! NO MATTER HOW SICK THEIR GRANDMA IS! DON’T EVEN SEND MONEY FOR A TICKET!
If anyone ask you for money (after days or weeks conversation – to create trust!), offer to buy the ticket yourself and send that instead of money. A scammer can not use a busticket for anything. An honest person can.

2. DON’T EVER GIVE YOUR PERSONAL INFO TO ANYONE! (Address, creditcard number etc.)

We are reviewing every single profile that signs up on Dating a Vegetarian and if we find anything suspicious (stolen images, certan phrases or certain behaviour) the profile is deleted! Profiles without images are deleted after three months as they are considered unserious. You can’t date with out a profile image. You have to upload your profile image, but it is ok to make it private. Everyone can use some privacy from time to time.
